4 Strategies To Reset This Holiday Season And Beyond

Amid the busyness of the holiday season, our thoughts, actions, and energies turn from accomplishing business goals and tasks to planning for hosting and attending gatherings and festivities of all kinds.  The flurry of happenings can cause overwhelm, anxiety, and even leave our tanks on the proverbial “empty.”


At Alignment Advising we’ve been helping clients, both organizations and individuals hit the reset button by prioritizing mental and emotional wellness. Today, we’re highlighting the four strategies that we’ve shared with our clients.


1.       Reflecting on the year’s accomplishments – focusing and then writing down achievements, successes, or milestones can help you gain a sense of pride and motivation for the future.


2.       Finding moments of joy and laughter –  spending time with loved ones or engaging in activities that bring joy and laughter can help alleviate stress and promote relaxation.


3.       Taking necessary and well-deserved pauses –  taking breaks whether for five minutes for a brisk walk or to call a friend to say “hello” works wonders to restoring balance, focus, and overall health.


4.       Purging old items both digital and physical – decluttering by getting rid of old emails, files, and items can bring a sense of clarity and feelings of organization.
